Help clean up "The Creek"! 

Mordecai Stream Cleanup - Cemetery Branch - Saturday, April 28, 2012 2PM-4PM 


Who: Everyone is welcome: children, families, friends and neighbors.

What: Stream cleanup of Cemetery Branch Creek (Across from Conn Elementary in East Mordecai)

Where: Meet by the creek at Meadowbrook, at the corner of Norris Street and Frank Street (parking is available along Frank Street).

When: This Saturday, April 28th from 2:00-4:00PM

Why: To gather as a community to help keep our neighborhood and waterways healthy and happy and report our findings to the city.

The City of Raleigh has provided us with 20 safety vests, bags and gloves for our volunteers. Mac Smith, the Stormwater Quality Technician, will arrange to pick up our collected debris on Monday.

Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes and expect to get wet and dirty. Long pants are recommended. Please bring water to drink and wear sunscreen.

Volunteers will assist in completing a field data assessment of the stream along with signing an adopt-a-stream agreement, reporting our findings and participation to the City of Raleigh.
