Our MCAC currrently is forming two partnerships - - the Person Street Partnership and the Wake Forest Road Partnership.
These partnerships are designed to build momentum for change in two very important areas of our MCAC - - the business district along North Person Street and the major thoroughfare along Wake Forest Road. Our goal is to bring property owners, business owners, stakeholders, residents, and Raleigh City Staff together to work jointly on creating a vibrant business community on Person Street and a livable, pedestrian friendly boulevard along Wake Forest Road.

More InfoThe Person Street Partnership currently consists of property and business owners along North Person Street in the small business district known as “Person Street” located between Krispey Kreme Doughnuts at Peace Street and the vacant Person Street Plaza at Franklin Street. Also included in the partnership are stakeholders in the area including representatives from Blount Street Commons, Peace College, The Society for the Preservation of Historic Oakwood, the Mordecai Citizens Advisory Council, and the City of Raleigh including staff from the Planning and Public Works Departments. The Person Street Partnership seeks to build momentum on Person Street by identifying, creating, and advocating for planning and traffic initiatives in and surrounding the business district. Our primary goal is to join forces with City Council and Staff to identify and focus on the issues that prevent Person Street from thriving as a vibrant, pedestrian friendly business district. To help fuel this momentum, members of the partnership will also help to identify and secure funding and grant sources outside the City’s budget where available. traffic@mordecaicac.org
