Welcome to the Mordecai CAC Traffic updates page.
Fall 2018:

Traffic news:  The "Road Diet" project which many of you have been hearing about for years (12 YEARS!), is supposed to really happen this fall. Jason Myers with the City of Raleigh will give a presentation at our October 9 CAC meeting.

The entire Person/Blount corridor and our section of Wake Forest Road is included in this project. First the roads will be repaved (if needed) and restriped. Eventually (not in this phase), the Person/Blount corridor will be two way roads.

Wake Forest Road will get the "Road Diet" by reducing to three lanes and two bike lanes! One lane each direction, turn lane in the center, two bike lanes. It is going to slow traffic through the corridor and hopefully encourage people to use Capital Boulevard or other routes to downtown.

We hope that you will educate yourself about the road project, so you can help neighbors understand what is going on.

Here is the official City of Raleigh page for the Person/Blount Corridor
