October 2010 CAC Meeting

The October meeting is going to be the best meeting of the year with councilmen representation and an outstanding award ceremony. Look forward to seeing you Tuesday evening. Officer Taylor will update us on any new activities in our neighborhood and answer questions.

Staff members will provide updates on progress made on derelict houses, review the dept's services and answer your questions.

Peace China - Located in the Seaboard Station shopping center next to Peace College. Owner and Chef Wei will speak about his restaurant and how it plays an important role in our community. Wei has also graciously offered to provide a few samples of food.

Featured Speaker - Raleigh City Councilmen Russ Stephenson (At-Large) (30 min)

Russ Stephenson will discuss and address issues that impact and involve our local neighborhoods and the general community. Please join Russ as we have an open discussion about traffic needs, street redevelopment, parks and high speed rail.

Experts from the community will join Russ in these topics. Russ depends on you to get the information he needs to make the best possible decisions for Raleigh and our community. Please do not hesitate to ask him questions.

Show your support for the neighborhood by attending this month's meeting. 

Tom Oglesby and Dan Sears Community Builder Award

Join us as we present this outstanding award to a neighbor of the community that has put forth tireless efforts to make the Mordecai CAC and its neighborhoods a better place to live in.
