“Recycle Instead!” stickers, Volunteers needed to Distribute and Apply!

The City of Raleigh Solid Waste Services Department wants to remind residents that North Carolina state law prohibits the disposal of aluminum cans and plastic bottles in landfills.

To get the word out, “Recycle Instead!” decals are being added to garbage cart lids around Raleigh.

City of Raleigh Solid Waste Services and Mordecai CAC have partnered together to apply decals to all garbage carts.

Calling Neighborhood Block Leaders and Active Residents willing to distribute and apply several stickers to neighbor's carts.

  1. Volunteers must apply the sticker to each cart.

  3. Register your name, email address, and street block you are able to cover. (below)
  4. Pick-up stickers and tools by Neighborhood Contact
    • Mordecai: 1221 Courtland
    • East Mordecai: 1206 Watauga
    • Oakdale: 503 Holden
    • Pilot Mills: All Done!
