Two Community Meetings next Week, Tuesday, March 13th

On Tuesday MARCH 13, 2012 there will be two meetings, both in the downstairs meeting room of Trinity United Methodist Church at the corner of Bloodworth and Sasser. See highlights below.

Meet the Artist for the Halifax Community Center:  7:00 - 7:30 p.m.

 

March Mordecai CAC Community Meeting: 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.

  • Presentation of the plaque presented to the MCAC by the North Central CAC for our help with clean up after the April 16, 2011 tornadoes.
  • Raleigh City Manager Russell Allen will talk about his job, city highlights and answer questions. 
  • Police Report   
  • County planning staff will present highlights of the Wake County Transit Plan, which increases bus service and introduces commuter rail and perhaps light rail. It will rely on a half-cent sales tax for funding, which must be placed on the ballot by Wake County Commissioners.
  • Paul Reimel from Downtown Raleigh Alliance will share highlights from the Alliance’s annual meeting on February 23.
