Children & Family Committee

Corner Pantry: Thanks to everyone who participated in our November giving project. We would like you to keep our neighborhood Corner Pantry in mind for donations as you are able.  It is at the corner of Glascock and Watauga Streets.  The Corner Pantry has been utilized a great deal  since being built, especially these past few months, so please help us maintain inventory by dropping off non-perishable foods so we can help to keep it stocked.

We'd like to hear from you!

Help us determine what to organize and how to communicate with you.

Thank you!

Please contact our Children & Family Committee if you'd like to get involved. Currently we do not have a chair. We'd like to see this committee reactivate!

The MCAC established a new Children and Family Committee in 2021!  Members are David Watkins, Stacy Gant, Kellee Lewis, and Jan O'Regan.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the MCAC Children and Family Committee is to facilitate and promote opportunities for children and families in our community to learn, volunteer and socialize with the goal of building and sustaining strong neighborly bonds.

The MCAC C & F Committee is new, and we've had a great start with several fun outdoor events that allowed families and kids to connect.  We've hosted a bike safety clinic and neighborhood ride, a pollinator event at the Raleigh City Farm, the National Night Out/ Ice Cream social, and the October Scare Bears Scavenger Hunt.  Be sure to check the MCAC facebook page for the latest updates: https://www.facebook.com/MordecaiCAC

Let David, Jan, and Stacy know if you'd like to volunteer to help with the C & F Committee! children@mordecaicac.org
